Garden Design Workshop

If you are wondering how to redesign that tricky shady corner of your garden, are looking for inspiration for how to do a complete garden makeover, or just enjoy learning new things, then why not come to our Garden Design Workshop on Saturday 21st February from 2-5pm?

Our very own garden designer, Karen Blight, will be leading the workshop. Many people will know Karen from seeing her in the garden or attending the fabulous Christmas Wreath Making workshops she has led for the last few years, and we have all benefitted from the wonderful design she developed for us (and continues to develop) at the garden. Karen is passionate about passing on her knowledge for garden design, and will be running the workshop as a fundraiser to go towards new projects in the garden. Places cost £25 and are limited, so do email farncombecommunitygarden@gmail.com soon to book your place!

Seed Swap

Spring is coming closer and to prepare for its arrival, and the need to get sowing, will be holding a seed swap at our open session on Saturday 7th March. Every gardener ends up with more seeds than they can sow, while also wanting more variety of plants to grow, so bring your spare seeds and swap them for new ones!

Plant Sale

After (hopefully!) much successful sowing in March and April, we will hold a plant sale at the garden at the open session on Saturday 27th June. Do put the date in your diary now as it might be crucial for filling the gaps in your borders, or replacing the courgettes that were growing so nicely until the slugs got them!

Espalier walkway

Our wonderful espalier walkway is really taking shape! Come and see it for yourself soon! Watching the fruit trees and other climbers fill out around the chestnut supports will be a fantastic thing to enjoy for years to come!
